We have an uncle dick
We have an Uncle Dick, on our mom's side. It's true. We have an Uncle Richard, on our dad's side. It's true. The name Dick is short for Richard, so Uncle Richard assumed that we named our show after him...we didn't. We named it after Uncle Dick, but but we won't tell Uncle Richard that because we don't want to break his heart. Uncle Dick has a red beard and is head of the union at Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, Nebraska. He has 9 children, 6 grandchildren, 25 nieces and nephews and smokes.
"We Have an Uncle Dick" was developed by the combined talents of two brothers, Timmy and Patrick Tamisiea. This group was seeded as a two-man improv show, directed by the incomparable Tim Mason and performed in two separate runs at Donny's Skybox Theater. "We Have an Uncle Dick" explored bits and pieces of the lives of the Tamisiea brothers and transcribed them into various improvised scenes and vignettes. Now, Timmy and Patrick have evolved this improvised project into a written show. This time "We Have and Uncle Dick" has brought on board the unrivaled talent of Sean Cusick to direct and mold the brothers Tamisiea’s ideas into a unique form of sketch comedy. Come spend the night with the Brothers Tamisiea - its like the slumber party you never asked for but always wanted!
Its Fall! Patrick is turning colors and falling out of trees. And Uncle Dick is patiently writing new sketches and thinking up new fun. Stay tuned for new shows including Chicago Sketchfest, LA Comedy Festival and The Phoenix Comedy Fest.
